Ingredients
- 1 cup Pauls Buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon bi-carbonate soda
- 1 cup self raising flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup butter
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon treacle
- 1 cup bran
- ¼ cup raisins (finely chopped)
- ¼ cup walnuts (chopped)
Method
- Preheat oven to 200°C and lightly grease a muffin tray.
- Combine Pauls Buttermilk and bi-carbonate soda. Set aside.
- Cream butter and brown sugar, add egg. Beat well.
- Add Pauls Buttermilk and soda, then treacle and bran. Blend.
- Stir in flour and salt, fold in fruit and nuts.
